My stepson’s birthday was approaching and I felt the need to make a cake. Although he’s not that keen on cake he loves malteasers and skittles, th only way I could think of combining it all was putting skittles in the cake and malteasers on top. This was the result:
Mr Hyde has an upcoming birthday and after my EasterCake went down so well, he hinted that he may like a skittles cake. So after making the basic sponge and smothering it in butter icing and added the chocolate fingers, tied it up with ribbon, he loves camo so the ribbon couldn’t be any other! Then I began the painstaking task of adding the skittles to my gravity defying secret! Not so much a secret, Lakeland sell this cake kit and it is well worth the money to get the wow factor.After a few rants and swear words, and not so many skittles eaten, the cake was complete! We happen to be away for his birthday so the cake was taken into work and was demolished a lot quicker than the time it took to make it!
